Eva and I were inseparable growing up, being neighbours we played out together pretty much every day and as we got older we went to the same school  and although we both befriended other people as well, we were still besties. 


It was thanks to Eva that I was semi popular at school, she was absolutely stunning and as you know the rules of high school, beauty equals popularity! I wasn’t as blessed as Eva in the looks department, being slightly chubby, redhead with glasses wasn’t the coolest of looks at the time but because of my friendship with Eva, no one would dare bully me!


We took different paths as we grew up, Eva of course dropped out of college and got herself  a handsome, successful boyfriend from a rich family and I continued studying accountancy. We sort of lost contact gradually over the years, we went from seeing and texting each other everyday, to once a week, the once a month then eventually once every now and again. 


We’re both 24 now, for the first time in nearly 2 years Eva text me. Asking me if I want to grab a coffee and catch up. Of course I agreed, working with numbers all day at home by myself in my tiny little apartment gets very boring!


‘Oh my god Leah! I’ve missed you so much!’ Eva says practically jumping on me as I walk into the coffee shop.


‘Eva! It’s been to long!’ I reply embracing her hug, wrapping me arms around her tiny waist.


‘Common, let’s order and we’ll catch up’ Eva says grabbing my hand and pulling me to the counter.


‘Hey can I get 2 extra large caramel frappes, extra cream, extra caramel please!’ Eva orders excitedly.


‘Oh actually, sorry Eva, I’m kind of on a diet at the minute…’ I interrupt sheepishly.


‘Bullshit! Diets don’t matter when friends are catching up!’ Eva snaps with a giggle.


I can’t disagree, after all I’ve been ‘dieting’ for pretty much my entire adult life and yet here I am, still the same old 180 pound chubster I’ve always been! Eva has obviously managed to keep herself in good shape, not many people can go out in just yoga pants and a crop top and look good! I mean really good! Just a quick glance around the room and most of the men in here are staring at her. Like I said she’s drop dead gorgeous, even with her thick brunette hair tied up in a messy bun and little to no makeup on she still outshines every girl in the shop! 


‘Can we also get 2 slices of the red velvet cake please!’ Eva follows up practically licking her lips as she eyes the cake display.


I guess when your stomach is as flat and toned as hers she can afford to eat cake every once in a while, I try my best to avoid it like the plague and yet I’m the one with a belly that rolls over my waistband when I sit!


‘Sooo what’s Leah been up to?’ Eva says sitting her perfectly round ass down onto the chair opposite me.


‘Pretty much just working! Since covid I’ve been working from home and honestly it’s sooo boring! I’m stuck at my laptop all day crunching numbers!’ I moan taking a sip of my frappe and almost cumming my panties because I’ve forgotten how good they are!


‘Wow, that does sound boring! Do you not go out much?’ Eva asks digging her fork into the cake eagerly and breaking off a bite sized piece.


‘No way!’ I chuckle ‘my rent is so high I can barely do anything other than work!’ I follow.


‘That sucks! Damn this cake is good!’ She says cutting the conversation as she orgasmically moans with pleasure.


‘What about you? What have you been up to?’ I ask picking up my fork.


‘Well truthfully, my life’s been pretty shit. Remember Ryan, my boyfriend?’


‘Yeah, I think we met once when you first started dating…’


‘Yeah you did, well, turns out he was a complete asshole! For the last 6 years of my life I’ve been completely controlled. He’s the reason we lost contact you know, he made me stop contact with all my friends, the only people I could talk to was family or his friends partners.’


‘Wow, what a dick!’


‘It doesn’t stop there, he chose what I wore everyday, what I ate, I could never just chuck on some sweat pants and chill out for the day! Oh no I had to be presentable at all time just encase someone might come over! He even had me sleep in fancy fucking pyjamas all night!’


‘Jesus Christ Eva, so what made you finally break up with him?’


‘Nothing! He broke up with me!’


‘What?! He was that controlling and yet you stayed?’ I ask with shock.


‘I was blinded by what I thought was love, I only now realise what he’s like, a completely psychopath who’ll never be satisfied!’


‘Well at least you’re free now!’ I chuckle as I continue to eat my slice of cake.


‘Yep! Free to do as I please! What about you? Any boyfriends?’


‘I had one boyfriend a few years ago, we were together for just over a year but then when quarantine happened he broke up with me, he couldn’t commit to moving in with me’ I shrug not wanting to show any emotion towards him.


‘Ah that’s a real shame Leah’


‘I could’ve done with it financially though, having him pay half the rent would’ve helped out a lot!’ I chuckle placing my now empty plate on the table next to Eva’s empty plate.


‘Hey, I’ve got a suggestion…why don’t you move in with me?’ Eva says randomly with a big grin on her face.


‘Excuse me?’


‘Move in with me! It’s my parents house they used to rent out but let me and Ryan live there rent free…’


‘No! I couldn’t live there and not pay anything!’


‘Why not? My parents don’t exactly need the money, I’m lonely, you’re lonely, it makes perfect sense!’


‘You think? I could do with moving out of my apartment, the rent seems to be going up every month! Fuck it! Let’s do it!’


‘That’s the spirit! We’re gonna have so much fun! Let’s celebrate and get another slice of cake!’ Eva says already standing up and walk g to the counter before I can even respond.

3 months later


Moving in with Eva was the best financial decision I’ve ever made,  it having to pay rent and bills is saving me a fortune! I didn’t actually realise how much money I’ve been earning because it’s normal spent before I even earn it! 


I can now finally relax a little and do the things I’ve always wanted to do, well by that I mean watch Netflix and Disney+! It might seem sad to some people but honestly that’s all I want to do, I’m naturally a lazy girl and the thought of clubbing or being out all day and night doesn’t appeal to me! I like my comforts!


Eva isn’t much a go getter either, I’m not sure if it’s because her ex has made her like this or if she’s always been like this. Thinking back to when we were kids all she did was laze about and eat, that’s pretty much all she’s done these last 3 months. At first I thought she was just eating away her heartache but to be honest she’s never really seemed upset about the brake up. Maybe she’s just finally being herself?


‘Morning Leah!’ Eva says enthusiastically walking into the kitchen where I am currently sitting at the breakfast bar drinking a coffee.


‘Morning Eva, how’d you sleep?’


‘Like a log! I passed out after eating an entire large pizza from domino’s!’ Eva giggles nonchalantly.


I can’t help but notice how much she’s filled out in just 3 months! Her camisole and pyjama shorts are doing a good job of exposing her softer skin, her legs are not toned anymore, they’re soft looking a jiggle with every step she takes letting the sun reflect off the newly formed cellulite that has just started to develop. Her belly also jiggles slightly when she walks now, it’s clear that it’s definitely starting to push outward giving her a more rounded look! Now that she’s not wearing a bra I can see just how big her breasts have gotten to! Although they’re still perky they’ve definitely dropped a little.’


‘A whole pizza? Just must still be stuffed!’ I laugh as I continue to examine her fluffy body.


‘Nope, quite the opposite actually! I’m absolutely starving! But in my defence I did do a massive shit this morning!’ Ava giggles with no embarrassment at all.


‘To much information!’ I chuckle.


‘Everybody does it!’ She shrugs as she reaches for a bowl from the top shelf of the cupboard which causes her top to rise and expose her flabby gut. I continue watching as she completely fills the bowl up to the brim with fruit loops cereal and head for the fridge to grab some milk. Once at the fridge she grabs the full fat milk and a chocolate eclair, which she quickly and effortlessly devours in 2 greedy mouthfuls! After pouring the milk she then turns on the stove, places a big frying pan on top of the flame and adds an entire pack of bacon to the pan. She watches the bacon cook as she inhales mouthful after mouthful of cereal until the bowl is empty! After the bacon is cooked she places 4 slices of bread into the toaster and cracks 6 eggs into the bacon fat covered pan. After the toast pops up, she heavily butters it and divides them onto two plates, same with the bacon and the eggs!


‘Breakfast is served!’ Ava says excitedly as she places one of the plates in front of me.


‘Wow, thank you Ava! I’m not really a breakfast kinda gal’ I reply.


‘Most important meal of the day! Along with lunch and dinner that is!’ She laughs.


We both tuck into the large fried breakfast, the room was completely silent apart from our chewing and eating noises. I finish first but in Ava’s defence she has eaten a whole bowl of cereal and a chocolate eclair.


‘UUUUURRRRPPPPPP! Fuck that was good!’ Ava erupts after swallowing her last mouthful.


‘Yeah it really was!’ I agree.


‘Same again?’ She asks raising her eyebrows suggestively.


‘Excuse me?’


‘Do you want another plate?’


‘A-are you?’ I stutter.


‘Fuck yeah I am! I’m still hungry!’ Ava replies subconsciously rubbing her bloated belly.


‘I may as well then if you are!’ I giggle, deep down I know it’s a bad idea but I just can’t say no to good food!
